Speaker of the Ghana Assembly Welcomes Members of Parliament from recess
The Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has warmly welcomed Members of Parliament from recess to the Third Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament.
According to the Speaker, Members of Parliament took their two-month recess seriously by visiting various state agencies to perform their oversight responsibilities, benchmarking other Parliaments worldwide to learn and share modern parliamentary practices, and interacting with their constituents.
The Speaker later urged the Government to furnish the leadership of the House with all government parliamentary business to complete the agenda for this Meeting.
Both Majority and Minority Leaders, Hon. Mahama Ayariga and Hon. Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin respectively, joined the Speaker in welcoming the Members.
