NIGER STATE GOVERNOR RELEASES LIST OF 30 COMMISSIONER NOMINEES WITH BIDA HAVING THE HIGHEST NOMINEES

Niger state governor, Umar Muhammadu Bago has approved thirty names as commissioner nominees to the state house of assembly for onward screening and approval as enshrined in section 192 (2) of the Nigerian Constitution nineteen ninety nine as amended.
In a statement released by the governor’s Special Adviser on Digital Media and Strategy, Abdulberqy Umar Ebbo, Bida is the only local government with three nominees, with Hajiya Hadiza Asabe Muhammed returning for her second term.
Others from Bida local government include Suleiman Umar and Doctor Murtala Bagana while both Chanchaga, Kontagora and Bosso got two nominees and other local government got one each to complete the thirty man list.
Jantabo Hamidu of Lapai local government leads fourteen former commissioners back to the list with sixteen not returning.
The returning commissioner’s include Barrister Nasiru Mu’azu, Barrister Maurice Bello Magaji, Phalal Muhammed Bako, Mustapha Ndajiwo, Hadiza Idris Kuta, and Mu’azu Hamidu Jantabo.
Others are; Suleiman Umar, Abubakar Umar Abule, Lawal Maikano, Bashir Muhammed Lokogoma, Abdullahi Mamagi, Umar Sanda Rabe, Aminu Takuma and Abubakar Umar Abule.
The governor as also listed a number of new faces in the commissioner list with the just dissolved permanent members II and IV of the Niger state Universal Basic Education Board, Haruna Abubakar Arafat Magaji, Abdulrazaq Mu’azu Jakada making the sixteen new man list.
Also the Seating council chairman of Bosso Local government joins the list after what look liked a success two term tenure as a chairman, making her the only female to mark that feet.
The sixteen nominees include; Ahmed Ibrahim Inga, Haruna Abubakar Arafat Magaji, Adamu Abdullahi Sheshi, Professor Yakubu Mohammed Auna, Kabiru Abbas and Isah Sidi Rijau.
Others include; Abdullahi Maje, Obed Nana, Abubakar Musa Abule, Muhammad Qasim Danjuma, Barrister Muhammed Bello Agwara and Abdulrazaq Mu’azu Jakada.
Also; Ladidi Rakiyya Bawa Bosso, Faruk Umar Audi, Jacob Baba Yisa and Murtala Bagana.
Governor Umar Bago has seek for the house to confirm the approval of the nominees through the speaker of the house.
Recall that the governor had earlier dissolved his cabinet and had since been expected to release new commissioner list.
