NITDA DG Commends First Lady’s Vision for Women Empowerment through Technology

Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa, CCIE, has commended the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, for her visionary leadership and commitment to empowering women and youth through technology-driven initiatives under the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the RHI/Huawei Women in Tech Training Programme held at the Presidential Banquet Hall, Abuja, Inuwa described the First Lady’s efforts as a catalyst for national growth, promoting inclusivity and digital participation.
He reaffirmed NITDA’s commitment to working closely with her office and other partners to realize President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda by equipping Nigerians with digital skills and fostering human capital development.
The NITDA boss emphasised that the collaboration between RHI and Huawei reflects a “triangle of hope”, a fusion of vision, technology, and national strategy—all aligned towards advancing Nigeria’s digital economy. Encouraging the beneficiaries, he urged them to use their newly acquired skills to innovate, mentor others, and drive positive change in their communities.
