Professor Faruk Rasheed Haruna has been appointed as the first substantive vice chancellor of the Federal University of Education, Kontagora.

The chairman, governing council and Pro Chancellor of the University, Professor Francis Adedayo CON made this known at the press briefing with news men in minna, Niger state capital.
Professor Adedayo stated that the council had unanimously settled for Professor Haruna Rasheed who was screened along with six other candidates who had earlier applied for the vacant position of Vice Chancellor.
He however noted that thirty three new programs have been approved by the Nigeria University Commission to kick start with while also having new imbedded technological studies in to the school curriculum most especially Artificial Intelligence amongst other courses to be offered.
The Academic Staff Union Chairman of the University, Doctor Henry Attah, in an exclusive interview with Lina TV stated that in terms of welfare and staff engagement, the University has been up to date with the basic needs required for every staff without debt inquired.
Recall that the university was approved and established in the year twenty twenty one and had professor Mallam Yakub Aminu as it acting Vice chancellor until the position was announced vacant for it to have a substantive Vice Chancellor.
Professor Haruna Faruk Rasheed is a seasoned educator who has risen through the ranks, from being a class room teacher to being a provost of the Niger state College of Education, first Vice chancellor of the Niger state University of Education and provost of the Federal College of Education Kontagora.
with his wealth of experience, Professor Haruna Faruk is expected to deem his search light to finding a strong educational system for the baby federal University of Education which many say was inspired by him.
